FAT acquires the majority of a Hungarian Airline which is renamed to FARNER AIR TRANSPORT Hungary. ![]() |

FAT diversifies into the technical area and integrates AIR SERVICE BASEL AG (ASB). From then on ASB ensures the technical support for FAT. ![]() |
| 1991 |
A new logo is created for FAT. FAT sets up a Special Operation base in Laayoune in the Western Sahara; from where 2 Pilatus Porter PC 6 and a DHC-6 Twin Otter guarantee the logistical support of the "Swiss Medical" Unit for the UN mission "MINURSO". ![]() |

In March the first two company-owned F27 (HB-ISJ, HB-ITQ,) come into operation serving BSL-BRU-BSL and BSL-CGN-BSL for two different integrators. Océana becomes the major shareholder of FAT. |

The fleet is enlarged by two Embraer EMB110 Bandeirante aircraft operating on BSL-BRU-BSL. ![]() |

When a Dutch Piper Seneca carrying express cargo lands in Basel in September 1982,
the foundation stone is laid for FARNER AIR TRANSPORT AG (FAT). The official act takes place beginning of 1984 and as
its primary service, FAT starts transporting goods for integrators within central Europe. |
